Luanda Governor Reaffirms MPLA`s Governance Programme Feasibility

Luanda, 08/03 - The governor of Luanda province, Francisca do Espírito Santo, on Saturday here reassured that the governance programme of the ruling MPLA party is feasible, since it aims at improving the living standard of the peolple.

Speaking to ANGOP, at the end of a political rally of the MPLA held in Luanda`s Zango ward (Viana Municipality), the governor said that the ruling party`s programme is already being implemented and the citizens in the capital city identify themselves with it, as they are involved in its materialisation.

Francisca do Espírito Santo said also that the MPLA governance programme tries to reflect the citizens and offers opportunities for all, which is one of the main objectives of the party.

She mentioned, as example, that the plan has strategies on the situation of children, women, young people and senior citizens, as well as in sectors like education, health, employment, social security, culture, among other areas.

“It is necessary that the people participate and collaborate so that the life of Angolans can be better and better, at cultural, academic or professional level, and with that there will be guarantee of better work conditions and professionalism”.

According to the governor, the rally showed well what the MPLA represents to the people, for it was attended by a massive number of people who demonstrated that they really support and trust this political organisation.

“This massive public presence here in Zango today satisfies us because this is the capital of the country, a city that is growing, therefore we are confident that the MPLA will have a positive (electoral) response from the people” she concluded.
