Angola/Kuando-Kubango: Mass Media Organs Get New Equipments

Menongue, 07/31 – Mass media organs in southern Kuando-Kubango province, on Thursday benefited from new equipments, in order to assure an efficacious and comprehensive coverage of next September 05 legislative elections, Angop has learnt. The Angolan News Agency (Angop) received three vehicles and computers, including laptops with satellite internet system, whereas the National Radio of Angola (RNA) benefited from six cars with equipped mobile studios.

The daily newspaper (Jornal de Angola) and the Public Television (TPA) received one car each, in a handing over ceremony chaired by the adviser of the Mass Media minister, José Luis Fernando, who is visiting the state-run media organs to assess the technical conditions for the electoral coverage.

Among those attending the ceremony was the local acting governor, Francisco Manjolo, who acknowledged the efforts by the Mass Media Ministry in empowering the local organs with new equipments, ahead of coming September 05 legislative polls.

Speaking to press, the adviser of the Social Communication Ministry, José Luis Fernandes, exhorted the professionals for a rational utilisation of the mentioned equipments taking the advantage of their technical capacity for the electoral coverage.
