Ruling MPLA Presents Electoral Programme In Luanda

Luanda, 07/31 – Angola’s governing MPLA party is due to present on Saturday in Zango suburb, Viana district, Luanda its programme of governance for 2009/2012 and the Electoral Manifesto to the citizens of Luanda, in the framework of the party strategy for next September 05 legislative polls.

After having already presented them to the citizens of Malanje, Huambo, Benguela, Uíge, Moxico, Cabinda, Huíla and Lunda Norte provinces, the central structure of the electoral campaign of MPLA will conclude this programme in Luanda.

Speaking at a press conference, on Thursday, the first secretary of MPLA in Luanda, Bento Bento, said that the act will be used to witness the ‘’Deep commitment’’ of the party and its leader, José Eduardo dos Santos, to the fulfilment with great efforts so that the country continues changing for better.

He assured that a great mobilisation is being carried out so that every militant and friend of the party goes to Zango to listen to detailed explanation of the two documents, a "sacred commitment" of MPLA to work for the wellbeing of the population, consolidation of peace, democracy and political stability.

According to the partisan official, the plan also prioritises the continuation of reconstruction of infrastructures throughout the country and the sustained growth of the economy, aiming at raising the living quality of all Angolans.

Bento Bento guaranteed it is expected the participation of more than one million militants, friends and sympathisers of the ruling party.

"Saturday will be D day, Zango will be the capital of MPLA and every way will leadto the locality", he referred.

A huge cultural programme, with top singers of national music-hall and motocross are part of the agenda of the political act.
