Country Attends Conference On Civil Aviation

Ottawa, 09/21 - An Angolan team led by the deputy minister of Transports, Helder Preza, is participating at the 36th session of the assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), taking place on September 18-28, in Montreal (Canada), ANGOP has learnt.

The meeting gathers politicians, scientists, academicians, technicians of the civil aviation sector and government officials, aimed at reflecting on serious matters affecting this field.

Topping the agenda are themes such as "Airplanes and Passengers Security", "Air Navigation" and "Protection of Environment".

At least 190 delegates from ICAO member states will assess the activities carried out over the last three years and outline plans for the 2008/2010 period.

The Angolan Ambassador to Canada, Miguel Nzau Puna, is also attending the meeting.
