Angola/Football/Girabola2008: 18th Round Opens Weekend

Luanda, 08/01 – The teams of Recreativo do Libolo and of Petro de Luanda will face off on Saturday, at Patrício Lumumba field, coastal Kwanza Sul province, in the opening match of the 18th round of the national first division soccer tournament, Girabola2008.

Petro de Luanda lead the competition with 38 points, whilst Desportivo do Libolo is in the fourth position with 28 points and has not lost at home for a long time, therefore a tough match is expected, as from 03pm.

The following encounters are expected for the same round: Santos FC-Bravos do Maquis on Saturday and Petro do Huambo-1º de Maio Benguela, Benfica do Lubango-Sagrada Esperança, ASA-Benfica de Luanda, Kabuscorp-1º de Agosto and Interclube-Desportivo da Huíla on Sunday.
