President of Cabinda Forum Dismisses Participation in Legislative Elections

Luanda, 06/29 – The president of the Cabinda Forum for Dialogue (FCD), António Bento Bembe Saturday here dismissed the possibility of participating in the forthcoming legislative elections, summoned for next September 05.

Bento Bembe expressed this stand at a meeting held at the Salvation Army Church, located in Palanca ward, Kilamba Kiaxi district.

In his speech, the FCD official explained that the Cabinda Forum will continue to work towards becoming a political party.

Bento Bembe defended that Cabinda province is already witnessing a certain development in various sectors, as a result of the signing and implementation of the memorandum of understanding for peace in this northern region of the Angolan territory.

Although the forum will not compete in the polls, he urged all militants to vote for their future leaders.
