Petro Beat Benfica, Consolidate Girabola Leadership

Luanda, 06/29 – Petro de Luanda this Sunday here beat Benfica by 2-1, at Cidadela
stadium, and ended the first stage of the national first division soccer tournament at the top
stop, with 32 points.
Humberto and Sérgio on 24 and 87 minutes, respectively, scored the goals of Petro, whilst Jó
notched one for Benfica de Luanda, on 69 minutes, in a 13th round match, last of the first
stage.
Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) beat Interclube by 2-0, at Coqueiros stadium, and 1º de Maio
de Benguela scored a 1-0 home win over Desportivo da Huíla, therefore also ending the first
stage with victories.
The 13th round was opened on Saturday with the following matches: Bravos do
Maquis-Sagrada Esperança (2-1); Santos FC-Kabuscorp (0-0) and Recreativo do
Libolo-Benfica do Lubango (3-0).
The match between Petro do Huambo and 1º de Agosto was postponed for Monday due to
bee invasion at Kurikutelas stadium.
With these results, the standings table is set in the following manner, after the first stage:
