Athletics: Luanda Provincial Association`s New Management Board Elected

Luanda, 06/29 – With three votes in favour, João Molina was on Saturday elected chairperson of the management board of the Provincial Athletics Association of Luanda (APAL), at an election held in the country`s capital under the supervision of a member of the Youth and Sports Ministry of (MJD).

The new head, list B candidate, beat list A`s Adriano Nunes (two votes) who tried to re-candidate himself for four more years.

The representative of the Provincial Sports Department, Silva Ferreira, members of clubs in associations, namely, Petro de Luanda, Progresso do Sambizanga and Intercluve, among other entities associated with the sport attended the ceremony that was presided over by the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Rodrigues Tandala.

According to APAL`s regulations, the elected chairperson should be sworn in within the next 15 days.
