Futsal: National Team Leaves for Portugal Monday

Luanda, 06/29 – The national senior males indoor soccer (Futsal) team will on Monday leave for Portugal, where it will compete in the fourth edition of the "Mundialito (mini world championship)" of the sport, to be played from July 02 to 06.

The competition, to be held in Castro Maria city, Algarve region, is being organised by the sports events promotion firm "Castro Brothers" and by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).

Angola’s squad, which will be led by the secretary general of the Angolan Futsal Federation (FAFUSA), Eliseu Major, comprises 18 members, from which 12 are players.

Angola is in group “B” with Croatia and Hungary, whilst that the other group includes Portugal (titleholders), Libya and Georgia.

The national team occupied the second position in the first edition held in 2005, in Mangualde (Portugal).
