Cunene: Two More Weapon Store-rooms Discovered

Ondjiva, 06/26 - Members of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) have discovered two military magazines in the localities of Kashila and Yonde, in the southern Cunene province, a military source has announced.

The head of the de-mining brigade, Major Jorge António, said it was only possible due to landmines clearance operations in the area.

The official said that since last January to July, the soldiers discovered 12 anti-personnel and four anti-tank landmines and 120 grenades.

Similar works have been developed in the locality of Oshimbale, surroundings of Ondjiva city, in an area where is expected to be built about 2,500 houses to accommodate victims of floods that hit the area earlier this year.
