Fight Against Drugs Campaign Kicks Off

Luanda, 06/26 - A period of prevention and sensitisation campaigns against the use of drugs is taking since Wednesday, in Luanda, in the ambit of the commemorations of the International Day against Drug Abuse, marked on 26 June.

The campaign is being promoted by the International Committee of Fight against Drugs, involving several activities, such as television and radio debates, detoxification sessions, reintegration and monitoring of drug addicts.

The debates will touch on topics like “drug use and its consequences”, “the importation of psychotropic substances” and “burning drugs”, among others.

The International Committee of Fight against Drugs is the Angolan body in charge of co-ordinating the state`s general policies relating to the combat against drugs.
