Angola/Zaire: Social Projects Attract USD 5 Million
Mbanza Kongo, 25/06 - Five million dollar was released for the construction and rehabilitation of social-related infrastructures in northern Zaire province.
The amount will be spent on the setting up of two 120 KVA generators, with view to improve the power supply to localities of Kindenge and Kibala, Nzeto district, as part of recovery of the supplying network that includes the setting up of transforming pylons in those communes
based in Zaire province,.
The projects also comprise expanding of supply of drinking water network in district headquarters, as well as improve the public electricity and basic sanitation in Nzeto city.
Allocated to the municipal administration of Nzeto, in the light of the programme of the Angolan Government of Administrative de-concentration and de-centralization, the amount is also earmarked for the construction of schools, five residences to accommodate teachers in the district headquarters and in Kindege and Kibala localities.
Speaking to ANGOP on Wednesday, the district administrator of Nzeto, Pedro Miguel, noted that the government strategy, to release the budget units, will enable new dynamic to
socio-economic development of the district.
