Uige: More Than 750 Citizens from DRC Repatriated

Uige, 06/25 – Seven hundred and fifty citizens from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), living illegally in the northern Uige Province, were repatriated in the last 12 months by the Angolan Immigration and Foreigners Services (SME).

The information was passed last weekend by the Home Affairs Ministry`s provincial delegate, Alfredo Sebastião Francisco “Fidel”, during a provincial ceremony in celebration of the 29th anniversary since the creation of the Interior Ministry, marked on 22 June. He also revealed that in the same period another group of 336 citizens from the same nationality were stopped from entering the country for not having the required documents, while 11 others were sanctioned for violating immigration rules.
