Angola/Kwanza Sul: Minister Announces New Infrastructures By August

Luanda, 06/23 – Angola`s Public Works minister Higino Carneiro has said that the conclusion of the first phase of rehabilitation of the main streets of Porto Amboim and Sumbe cities, coastal Kwanza Sul province, is slated for next August.

The minister was speaking to journalists Sunday at the end of a two-day visit to the region, aimed at learning on the execution progress of the social works funded by the Angolan Government.

To him, during above period the government will restore the water treatment and supply station, the public electricity networks and the sewerage of the referred localities, in charge of the building company Odebrecht.

The visiting programme also comprises hand over of the equipments by the Public Works minister, for repair, maintenance and cleaning of roads in Sumbe district and visit to the local infrastructures.
