Football: Federation Guarantees Prizes for Game Against Uganda

Luanda, 06/23 - Each member of the national senior males soccer team will receive USD 4,000 in case of a win over Uganda in this Monday`s encounter, to be played at Coqueiros stadium, for the group 3 fourth round qualifier to the World Cup and African Cup of Nations, set for 2010 in South Africa and Angola, respectively.

According to a source of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), who was speaking to the press after Sunday`s training session, this amount (USD 4.000) is double the usual amount.

FAF`s decision to increase the amount aims at encouraging the team on the importance of the encounter.

Angola and Benin top the standings table with six points, whilst Uganda is in the third position and Niger at the bottom without points.
