Angolan Defence, Security Team to Attend Bilateral Meeting In Windhoek
Luanda, 06/23 – A delegation led by the Angolan Defence minister, Kundi Paihama,
is to participate on June 23-27, in Windhoek, Namibia, in the 15th meeting of the
Angola/Namibia Joint Commission of defence and security, ANGOP has learnt.
A press note delivered to ANGOP says that both delegations will study future actions of
bilateral interest in the domains of defence, public and state security.
The meeting is to focus especially on transfrontier crimes, drugs and goods trafficking, car and
cattle theft, documents forgery, free flow of people and goods across the common border, as
well as matters concerning Angolan refugees in Namibia.
The Angolan team is made up by the Home Affairs minister, Roberto Leal Monteiro
"Ngongo", the deputy minister of Defence for national defence policy, Gaspar Santos Rufino,
the chief of staff of the Armed Forces (FAA), gen. Francisco Pereira Furtado, top police and
army officials, representatives of the ministries of Agriculture, and Welfare and Social
Reintegration.
