New Cuban Defence Military Attaché Accredited
Luanda, 04/11 - Angola`s National Defence Ministry Friday here accredited general
of brigade, Rafael Moracén Limonta, as military attaché of the Cuban embassy to Angola.
The ceremony, held at the International Relations Department`s facilities and attended by the
Angolan Armed Forces officers, was presided over by the institution`s director, admiral André
Gaspar Mendes de Carvalho "Miau".
Born on 05 February 1939 in Palma Soriano city, Santiago of Cuba, general Rafael Moracén
Limonta joined the former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba (the then guerrilla movement)
in1958.
General Limonta attended, later on, the regular academician course at Higher Academy of the
current Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba (FARC), called "General Máximo Gomes", and
is graduated in social sciences.
He was the head of company, battalion, regiment, brigade, and also head of International
Relations Department and of the former combatants association of revolution in Cuba.
From 1995 to 1997 he held the post of Naval and Air Attaché of Cuba to Angola. |
